Women On Mission

“If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly” Romans 12: 7-8.

Women on Mission exists...

to help women grow in their relationships with God, their families and each other in ways that honor Jesus Christ and help further His kingdom. Through various events and ministries, individuals are challenged to participate in learning and doing.

Bible Studies...

which meet on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday nights and Sunday nights are available to all women. Each study is chosen to challenge its participants to grow in their faith and to work at applying what they learn to their everyday lives.

Hands-On mission projects...

that include participation in the Shelby Baptist Association Christmas Gift Shop each year, taking meals to shelters for battered women and children and other opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others give women a chance to do something that has an impact on the world around us.

opportunities throughout the year provide opportunities for women of all ages to celebrate the joy of being children of God. More mature women are encouraged to mentor younger women.

to serve in positions of leadership and to receive training offered through the Shelby Baptist Association and WMU of Alabama allow women to grow in leadership skills and gain confidence as we make ourselves available to Him.

Learning about missionaries and supporting them through prayer is one way women can be a part of God’s work around the world.

Encouraging one another...

through studying the Bible together, sharing fellowship meals, participating in the Secret Sisters and responding to one another when there are known needs, the women of NSBC encourage one another.
